It's important to have elements from the outside environment in our homes or the rooms will feel stagnant or dead. You don't even need to spend any money to implement this tip. All you really need to do is go outside and snip a few tree or bush branches and place them in your favorite vessels throughout your home - voila - you've livened up the space!
If you live in the city you can do this when you are out for a walk at your local park and may even have access to colorful wild flowers. Bring in anything you find in nature that catches your eye: sculputural rocks, feathers, branches, shells, driftwood, sand, even petrified skulls will do. Then place the items throughout - a rock as a paperweight; a feather laying over a pile of books; driftwood in the center of your dining table for a more creative centerpiece; a pile of beautiful birch tree logs in your fireplace during the summer months, and stand them upright rather than lay them down.
Get imaginative & have fun bringing the outdoors inside!
